Sake Class (Japanese Rice Wine) Lecture & Taste on 7th September in Nara

Join us to the one time Sake Class in Nara at the Nara Visitor Center & Inn, an official organization for foreign tourists.

Sake is an essential part of the Japanese culture. People thought its magical brewing procedure was work of God. How God acknowledge a marriage? When bride and bridegroom exchange their rings? Not here in Japan. God approves your marriage when you and your lifelong partner drink Sake in a specific ceremonial style. Ridiculous? You will understand that Sake is the most enjoyable entering gate to the Japanese culture. You are lucky to attend this class here in Nara, where the Sake brewing procedure was firstly established in Japan.

This class introduces four Sakes of different label as teaching materials. Historical and theoretical lecture comes first, followed by pairing (Sake label matching) activities. Light Japanese meal is offered at the end of the class.
